Qantas Status Run Builder

Tell us your home airport, current Status Credit balance and target. The Builder compares Qantas routes and documented fares to find the lowest-cost combinations within your trip, budget and cabin limits.

Every result shows the fare source, Status Credit calculation and cost per Status Credit.

How the Builder works and where the fares come from ↓

Set your situation, then select Build my runs.

You will see:

  • the lowest-cost route combinations
  • the number of trips and Status Credits earned
  • the cost per Status Credit
  • the source and travel window behind every fare

How the Status Run Builder works

The Builder can answer three different questions:

  • What is the lowest-cost way to reach a Qantas status tier?
  • What is the lowest-cost way to earn a nominated number of Status Credits?
  • How can you earn more Status Credits from a trip you are already taking?

It calculates how many Status Credits you still need, compares eligible Qantas routes and cabins, and assembles the lowest-cost combinations within the limits you set. These can include your maximum number of trips, budget, cabin preferences, route variety and domestic-only travel.

The Builder also applies relevant program requirements, including the minimum four eligible flight segments needed to attain or retain a Qantas status tier.

How fares are labelled

Every fare has a visible source label:

  • A green dot is a live price collected from Qantas' deals pages, which Rewards That Fly checks twice daily.
  • A tick is a documented fare supported by a published source and travel window.
  • A tilde is a researched estimate and is clearly labelled as such.

Sale fares show their booking deadline. Once a sale ends, the fare automatically returns to the applicable everyday level, with the previous sale price retained only as historical context.

Booking a result

Booking links open qantas.com with the route, cabin and dates pre-filled where possible. The suggested dates are selected to fall within the documented travel window for the fare.

Prices and availability can change between the Builder's latest check and booking. Confirm the final fare, baggage allowance and conditions on qantas.com before paying.

Current coverage

The Builder currently covers Qantas Frequent Flyer Status Credits. A Velocity version and day-by-day live fare scanning across more routes are in development.
